Hello,
February has been a super-busy time for me, and it is set to continue until the end of the term. I took the GRE (entrance exam for USA post-grads) last week in London, which went really badly. I am off to Boston to visit Brown university, Rhode Island, on Sunday, where I have applied for a PhD at graduate school there. It is not a formal interview, but it will decide if I am to study there or not. Two weeks after I have an interview at the European Bioinformatics Institute in Cambridge again for PhD and I have also applied for 2 at UCL. All researching the evolution of ageing and the biochemical pathways that cause ageing. This semester is very busy, and there is a big crunch coming in a few weeks, when all assignments will have to be in at once. This then follows a Model United Nations conference here in Edinburgh in April, followed by another GRE in Biology in Leeds. I'm just recovering from a cold, but besides that all is well.
I hope you are well too,
John
