This is funny: MediaGuardian.co.uk | Broadcast | Fox News threatened to sue, claims Simpsons creator

Life is good. fully recovered from cold now. Project going well, met some intersting academics to discuss it with. from the departments of policitcs, education, psychology, am really getting into it, (wireless voting). Went to Jazz club at sailmakers on sunday, last 2 sundays actually, it is such a good night, nothing else like it. very small, very good, JOhn, from Seatle is studying Jazz studies, that's cool. he plays there. Organising trips to Dockhouse to volunteer wiht the homeless. 2nd trip was today, but got cancelled as the manager was sick.

Job in Library enquiries desk is going well, I enjoy it. nice environment. see you. this diary is loosing itself a bit, I could ramble and ramble, but what's the point? just for me to look back on? or do you read it? I don't know, I took the hit counter off a year ago, so I have no idea who is looking here.

I think its time for an update, some pictures, a bit of intereactivity (I just made that word up y a spelling mistake.) perhaps. Listening to Peshay, its been a while. sounds good. very good.

see you.

"It is simply a matter of statistics," said Mrs Barnett. "There are two figures you need to know. One is what our estimate of how many civilisations there are in the universe that are sending out signals into space [about 10,000] and the second is how long will it take to search through enough stars in the universe to statistically have a chance of picking up those signals." Put these numbers together, she claims, and we will encounter aliens by 2025.

what to study
I'm really confused at the moment. do I wanna keep studying? Masters/Phd. I want to change direction, I think towards biotech/life science, but I know nothing about it. a 5 year Phd is too much commitment for something I know nothing about, so if I choose to continue studying it's a masters.

But what subject? Bioinformatics, a mix of biology and Computer Science, Genetics, straight biology? Nuerology also sounds fascinating, studying how the brain works would be so cool. I don't have a maths/science background, but most Uni's will accept me if I do well enough in my undergraduate in Computer Science, which I hope to.

So if I study, where do I go? stay here? USA/Canada/Japan/Europe. USA was my first choice, I just want to live there for a while and understand the differences between us, and how their system works. But now I realise that I could go there and get into a top institute, and get a great education as well. Now I'm side tracked into what I'd be studying rather than where I'd be studying. ?!?! I'm so confused. Plus I'll only come accross the pond if I get funding, and the deadlines are looming...

The reason for wanting to study biology is to live longer. and the reason I want to live longer is to explore space.

so that's the situation, love to hear comments if you have any.
